Go from zero to your first optimized hashtag set in under 5 minutes. This guide walks you through account setup, connecting Instagram, and using your first features.

Create Your Account

Visit iqhashtags.com/signup. Create your account with email or Google sign-in. 7-day free trial, no credit card required. Use the same email as your Instagram Business account for smoother setup.

Connect Your Instagram Account

Connecting Instagram unlocks real analytics, personalized hashtag recommendations, and account protection. You need a Business or Creator account. Go to Dashboard → Settings → Connect Instagram. We use Instagram's official Business Login — never your password. Read-only access.

Explore the Dashboard

Your dashboard is your command center: hashtag activity overview, trending insights, and quick actions to most-used features. Updates in real-time.

Your First Hashtag Search

Click Research in the sidebar. Enter a keyword for your niche (try: photography, fitness, smallbusiness). You'll see each hashtag with post count, growth rate, difficulty level, and a 1-10 score. Filter by Easy/Medium/Hard difficulty — smaller accounts should focus on Easy and Medium hashtags.

Save to a Collection

Found hashtags you'll reuse? Save them to a Collection. Create themed collections (Reels Set, Photo Set, Promo Set) to organize. Copy entire collections with one click when posting.
